MORE DETENTION CENTRE DEATHS TO COME.
Despite the Coronial Inquiries into the three deaths in immigration custody at Villawood within a period of ten weeks nothing has changed. More detention centre deaths are imminent.
I was going through some data CDs I had burnt years ago. Clean up and clean out time ya know. I found this track by Organarchy. I remember listening to this when I was first getting into politics, back in the early 2000s. I couldn't find it out on the web so I upload it here, for old times sake. I think it is called 'Congratulations Seattle' or maybe just 'Seattle'.
Enjoy.

Our homeless folk continue to increase, not only in numbers however and in terms of despair and various clinical conditions.

If the publication of government reports alone were enough to lift Aboriginal people out of disadvantage, then black Australia would be the healthiest and wealthiest people on the planet.
In the past seven months, at least five major reports into the appalling life circumstances of Australia’s First Nations people have been handed down by governments.
“Muckaty Voices", a short film capturing Aboriginal resistance to the Australian government plan to dump radioactive waste in the Northern Territory, was due to open the
first exclusively Australian film festival in Berlin today, Friday 16 September.

No Harvey Norman No! Stop selling Aussie forest destruction!
Australia's world-class forests are still being ripped apart by industrial logging operations every single day. The destruction of our native forests is placing our threatened species, clean air and water, and climate in serious danger.

some years ago, i and many others, fought and demonstrated against the toxic verbal bile that was mouthed then by what was seen to be by most australians, as a fringe party. their disgusting rantings only proved them to be an ultra-racist party. some politicians agreed with them, some used them politically whilst the rest whimpered and whispered in case they lost votes.
Medical treatment and legal aid is required for the irregular migrants (at least three of them are of Kurdish origin; therefore, may very well be prima facie refugees) who are being detained after the raid of the Greek police in Egoumenitsa, Greece on 22 August 2011.

is there a criminal charge within the statutes of qld. law that now-a/inspector hurley cannot be charged with and found to have no case to answer?
having killed mulrunji doomadgee back in 2004 and then found by an all-white townsville jury to have no case to answer we are now asked to accept that hurley, now seen to be overpaid on his insurance claims, can just comfortably pocket the dollars and, literally, laugh all the way to the bank. this is just outrageous! and criminally so, i would argue.
