Like previous issues we have chosen to highlight acts of resistance to the Australian state and its control of this territory, such as attacks on its police, its prisons, its monuments and its schools.

Quaker Grannies in bonnets arrested for tea table blockade

A group of Quaker Grannies are currently in the Rockhampton police watchouse after being arrested for blockading an entry to Shoalwater bay with a 'tea and cake negotiation table'.

Their intention is to refuse bail because of harsh bail conditions and thus will spend the night in the watch house. 

The Grannies, who are wearing 160 year-old Quaker bonnets set a table complete with flowers, tea and biscuits in front of the gate to share with soldiers as an invitation to engage in peaceful negotiation.

People in rural areas or country towns are lucky to find useful goods as their is always a shortage of goods to be had in rural areas or country towns. Whats needed is a army of volounteers that will sort through the council cleanups of Australian cities & these goods should then be transported to the rural areas or country towns.

At 8am members of the Melbourne Palestine Action Coalition (MPAC) shut down the headquarters of Israeli arms manufacturer, ELBIT SYSTEMS, at 235 Ingles St Port Melbourne to mark the first anniversary of the 2014 Israeli ‘Protective Edge’ assault on Gaza. The group have blockaded access to the building and currently have two people locked on to the entrance gate, who state that they are prepared to remain there as long as possible.
