New issue of FTP zine out now

Download zine: https://ftpzine.wordpress.com/

“This is the fifth issue of FTP zine, our biannual report on anti-colonial, anti-state resistance, compiled within occupied Cadigal territory.

Like previous issues we have chosen to highlight acts of resistance to the Australian state and its control of this territory, such as attacks on its police, its prisons, its monuments and its schools.

From Sydney to Nantes, resistance & sabotage

On the evening of the 22nd of Feburary we vandalised the local headquarters of VINCI and their subsidiary company 'Advitam' in the Seven Hills industrial zone in western Sydney.
Some windows were cracked, and the slogans: “AGAINST VINCI AND ITS WORLD” &
“THE ZAD IS EVERYWHERE” were painted.

This small act was made in response to a call for actions in solidarity with the monumental struggle in Notre-Dame-des-Landes, France, against an airport which Vinci has been contracted to build.

Antifascist Actions

On the 26th of January in Brisbane, a few members of a fascist sect called the 'Australia First Party' attempted to disrupt the annual invasion day march held by the local indigenous community.

On the same day in Canberra the fuehrer of the party, Jim Saleam (former leader of ‘National Action’ and ’Australian Nazi Party’) gave a podium speech at a protest against the new Bikie laws in Queensland.

Back in December the party held a small rally outside the Greek consulate in Sydney in support of the ultra-nationalist Golden Dawn party.

Some actions against 'Australia day'

On the 26th of January, the 226th year since the British Naval fleet of Arthur Philip landed on this territory, we made some modest actions to counter the colonial narrative of 'Australia'. 4 banners denouncing the nationalist holiday were hung from highway bridges in Broadway, Stanmore, Kogarah and Sutherland reading:

STOLEN LAND

NO PRIDE IN GENOCIDE

FUCK AUSSIE PRIDE

BURN THE (AUSTRALIAN FLAG)

Against the Election Spectacle

This zine has been compiled by some anarchists from the colonised region known as Australia. This small project was initiated to contribute to a discussion on how anti-authoritarians should intervene in or disrupt the 2013 Federal Election.

We have included statements and communiques from a range of anti-authoritarian positions taken from counter information sites, from the insurrectionary to the platformist.

Australian embassy attacked in Berlin

On the evening of the 29th of June we took it upon ourselves to beautify a large eyesore called the Australian Embassy in Mitte, Berlin. This small gesture was taken in solidarity with comrades across the world, in the colonised region known as Sydney.

We painted

VIVA OCCUPY SYDNEY

DEATH TO SYDNEY COUNCIL

Solidarity with the USYD strike from Copenhagen

In the early hours of June 5 some anarchists redecorated the facade of the Australian embassy in Copenhagen with messages of solidarity with the ongoing strike at Sydney University. Students and workers at USYD have faced off against the pigs of the NSW police force on numerous occasions since April this year, in an ongoing campaign against neoliberal restructuring of their university.
We sprayed:

NO JUSTICE NO PEACE

CUT SPENCE STAB SCIPIONE

DROP ALL CHARGES AGAINST USYD STRIKERS

OCCUPY & RESIST!

Militancy and collaboration at the USyd Strike

Tuesday March 26 marked the begining of a 48 hour strike at Sydney university. The strike was called by the NTEU with CPSU support as a continuation of the struggle against the uni administrations new Enterprise Bargaining Agreement, intended to undercut staff conditions, increase casualisation, micromanagement and surveillance under the familiar guise of "flexibility". In the early hours of March 26, some anarchists once again broke into the City rd Catholic college (or chapel of the Insurrection) and again dropped a massive banner reading
“WE ARE THE UNI WE CAN SHUT IT DOWN

Long live the Maracana Village

On Friday the 22 of March, Brazilian riot police evicted dozens of indigenous squatters from an abandoned museum in the centre of Rio. For over a decade indigenous people from across the territory had occupied the large building and the surrounding area, renaming it the ‘Macanara Village’ as it sits besides the large Maracana football stadium.

Anarchist intervention in the Sydney Uni strike

In the early hours of March 7 some anarchists broke into the abandoned St Michaels College building on City rd on the Sydney Uni campus.

(For three months in 2011 this large abandoned space, renamed the “Chapel of the Insurrection” was liberated from the Catholic Church, their bullshit morality and their vast landholdings. Inside dozens of comrades, students, street youth and wage slaves experimented with new ways of living and found love, laughter and joy. Inside we built barricades and outside a large vegetable garden.)*
