(A-Radio) Eastern Europe 1: Struggles in Poland and the Rozbrat squat in Poznan

As part of a journey through Eastern Europe a member of the Anarchist Radio Berlin had the opportunity of talking to a comrade of the Anarchist Federation in Poznan in Poland in the Rozbrat squat. In the following interview we talk about the historical development of the squat, that celebrated its 21st anniversary on the weekend of September 18 and 19, and also about current struggles of FA Poznan, especially the workers' struggle of the Amazon workers in Germany and Poland.

Below is a new four minute video giving a brief, but detailed analysis of the police brutality at one of the Sydney University strikes. We see police snatching camera, twisting arms, giving out headlocks and more. All in the name of protecting the university from the seething rage of class struggle. We have nothing but love and compassion for our friends and comrades who have been physically hurt, and emotionally burdened by being dragged through needless court processes.

Solidarity with the USYD strike from Copenhagen

In the early hours of June 5 some anarchists redecorated the facade of the Australian embassy in Copenhagen with messages of solidarity with the ongoing strike at Sydney University. Students and workers at USYD have faced off against the pigs of the NSW police force on numerous occasions since April this year, in an ongoing campaign against neoliberal restructuring of their university.

Solidarity protest inside Coles supermarket at Broadway Sydney (youtube video)

I just happened to be doing my weekly grocery shopping at Coles in Broadway shopping center when some activists showed up in store and started chanting and handing out flyers. They were raising awareness about the striking Coles workers in Melbourne.

Wharfies strike over conditions at Patrick Stevedores

Maritime Union of Australia members in Patrick Stevedoring facilities at Fremantle, Albany, Melbourne's Webb Dock, and Geelong have voted overwhelmingly to take protected action after a secret ballot conducted by the Australian Electoral Commission.

Wharfies in Fremantle took industrial action on the 27th December, with workers in Albany to follow on December 30. Webb Dock and Geelong have not yet provided notice when they are taking action.
