New Geopolitical Paintings

"Tolerance slides easily towards indifference, as the efficiency of the economy becomes the only shared commitment. Similarly, compromise turns readily into complacency, when the familiar seems safer than the unknown. 'Neutrality', it often turns out, is not neutral at all, but sides with the way things are to avoid the dissension that might lead to change for the better. Consensus, then, may come into conflict with justice." (Catherine Belsey, 'Poststructuralism')

One may conclude the following from a study of my reports on line:
The United States government, through its intelligence agencies engages in a wholesale, unconstitutional, & inhumane program (‘P’) to silence troublemakers and suspects .1.

The hundreds of millions of human beings worldwide who have any kind of communicable disease are subject to control under the ‘P’.2.

Tarkine – World Heritage Now!

A group of activists have gathered at the community forum today in Launceston to send a clear message to the Labour Government that the Tarkine needs an emergency world heritage listing.

T-shirts reading “TARKINE HERITAGE LISTING” were displayed outside the community cabinet forum at the Launceston College on Brisbane Street. Members of the newly formed environmental advocacy group GroundSwell maintained a silent peaceful vigil as the cabinet continued inside.

Melbourne: Churches & Church Vehicles Sprayed, Public Walls Reclaimed

source : http://325.nostate.net/?p=6407

325 receives and transmits:

On Sunday the 31st of September under the cover of darkness we set off with hatred in our hearts & cans of spray-paint in our back-packs.

Once again we found ourselves in the outer northern suburbs of Melbourne – in particular the predominantly low-income neighborhood of Glenroy.

And once more we decided to direct our anger at the church; there always seem to be plenty of churches in the poorer suburbs & Glenroy is no exception.

Airline unions to join PALEA in “Global Day of Action”

Airline unions are set to join the Philippine Airlines Employees Association (PALEA) in a “Global Day of Action against Outsourcing” spanning four continents on Thursday. The September 27 action coincides with the anniversary of PALEA’s protest last year that led to the cancellation of all flights of Philippine Airlines and marked the start of a bitter fight over contractualization at the flag carrier.

Climate Change activists step up opposition to coal in Hunter Valley from mine to port

A banner drop at a construction site for a new coal loader terminal at the Port of Newcastle in the New South Wales Hunter Valley ended when police instructed the 60 metre crane be lowered to the ground. The Protestors say they were not given warning of this action and alledged it imperiled their lives.

“We are dismayed with the actions of police here today.” said spokesperson Steve Phillips. “We conducted a peaceful protest, with trained and experience climbers, and safety as our priority. NSW Police responded with gross negligence and dereliction of duty, and placed two lives at risk. Our climbers were not even warned before the crane was lowered.”

Iceland's amazing and peaceful revolution - still not in the news

Iceland’s peaceful revolution is a stunning example of how little our media tells us about the rest of the world.
An article at WakeUpWorld says that “The Icelandic economy will outgrow the eurozone in 2012 and is set to outgrow the entire developed world on average, according to estimates.
Now Iceland is proceeding to actually prosecute some of their formerly most powerful bankers and the Icelandic special prosecutor has stated that it very well may indict some 90 people.

Solidarity protest inside Coles supermarket at Broadway Sydney (youtube video)

I just happened to be doing my weekly grocery shopping at Coles in Broadway shopping center when some activists showed up in store and started chanting and handing out flyers. They were raising awareness about the striking Coles workers in Melbourne.
