Melbourne supporters of the campaign against the Woodside gas hub project at Walmadan/James Price Point in WA have continued their activities: on Saturday September 24 there was the second Community Gathering at Northcote Uniting Church, organised by Walmadan is Calling (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Walmadan-Country-is-Calling/14653525208854...), and on September 27 there was a candlelight vigil at the Victorian Parliament House, organised by United Peoples of Australia (http://www.facebook.com/United.Peoples.of.Australia?sk=info).

The use of indirect employment methods such as cash in hand work and sham contracting in poultry processing is increasing the risk of Australian families being exposed to food borne diseases like salmonelosis and campylobacteriosis.
This is a short notice meeting to discuss orgainsing th Occupy Melbourne rally, happening on the 15th of October at Federation Square. We need to organize who will be going, in what capacity, and what can be done to promote this, i.e. flyer runs, social media saturation etc. Anyone with video equipment, access to free printing or anything else that we can use is urged to come along.
