Canberra was the focus of action today over climate change and the Government's proposed carbon tax, with an action for climate change petition presented, youth climate activists from AYCC in town to meet politicians, and the No Tax on Carbon rally attended by climate deniers and conservatives that had been actively promoted on shock-jock talk back radio as a "people's tax revolt".
People opposed to a carbon tax rallied at noon in Canberra, Melbourne and Brisbane. The protest in Canberra was organised by the Consumers and Taxpayers Assoc Inc. and 2GB broadcaster Chris Smith.
Peacefully expose the vulnerability of cyclists, humanity and nature in the face of cars, aggression, consumerism and non-renewable energy. Police have warned that you will need swim suit level dress this year to be safe from arrest.
WNBR Canberra needs more people willing to help organise it. You need to step foward if you want to see WNBR Canberra be an even bigger success in 2011

Protest actions have been called around Australia and the world to show support for the Egyptian Revolution. Actions occurred on the weekend of 29th-30th of January in Melbourne - reports 1, 2, Youtube video ; Sydney report, Youtube video. Actions also occurred in many cities around the world. Protests have again happened around Australia on the 4th February in Brisbane and Melbourne and on the 5th in Sydney
Upcoming actions included Friday 11th in Brisbane and Saturday 12th in Adelaide.

A postgradaute at the Australian National University is currently facing intimidation from academic staff at the Australian National University for publishing an essay on Ney York Indymedia.
The University is accusign the student of plagerism and is threatening to expel the student for publishing this essay
