In the lead up to the federal election, Lock the Gate Alliance have announced a National Week of Action Against Unconventional Gas Mining and Exploration, and anti-fracking groups throughout Australia have organised events in an effort to make this issue one of critical importance to voters.

No Fracking WAy Perth will hold a rally and community forum on the 17th of August in Kings Square, Fremantle.

- Much has been made of the State Government’s billion-dollar-plus offer to the Noongar people via the South West Aboriginal Land and Sea Council.

But is it a genuine native title offer or a politicised move to coerce a proposition that native title rights have been settled for all those considered Noongars and that all future rights are extinguished?
