Marking 100 years since the start of one of the bloodiest wars in human history, this meeting will explore the untold history of World War 1. Come hear about the anti-war movement in Australia, the fight against conscription defeating two referendums, the miners strikes at Broken Hill, and more.

Join us for a night of music, food and sharing information about how we can self-organise to support refugees in detention and in the community. Help us raise funds for Bikelinx, a project that donates and repairs bicycles for refugees and other disadvantaged groups for free or small donation.

About the project:

The Amnesty International Melbourne Get Active Network are hosting a Trivia Night to help launch Amnesty’s Refugee Rights Campaign.

The Trivia Night will be an opportunity to engage the Melbourne public in de-bunking the myriad myths and misconceptions surrounding the issue of Asylum Seekers and Refugees in Australia, in an attempt to restore compassion to our treatment of those seeking asylum from persecution.

We hope that you can all come along, learn a little bit about our campaign and more importantly have some fun!
