you are probably aware of the sackings of the 24 unionists of NXP Semiconductors Inc. Workers’ Union (NXPSCIWU-NAFLU-KMU) in the midst of negotiations for a Collective Bargaining Agreement.

The KMU has called for a co-ordinated day of action for Monday the 26th of May.
We invite you to protest at the local company head office as we issue the boss with a letter of demand.

The budget just announced has issued in the worst attacks on students in decades:

1.The government will be lowering their contribution to HECS by 20%
2.They are removing caps on fees so universities will be able to charge students WHATEVER THEY WANT
3.The interest rate on HECS will be increased and will be determined by the bond rate. ie. the private market. Students will have no idea what their HECS debt will soar to in the future
