"On Anzac Eve a vigil for peace, carrying paper lanterns, descends Mt Ainslie on which the Australian War Memorial stands in Canberra. The following day, ANZAC Day 2011, Michael Anderson negotiates with police to permit the inaugral march remembering Aboriginal Nations and Peoples who defended Country against the invading forces from Europe. Lead by Mick Thorpe and bearing signs respecting wars of resistance and massacres a diverse group respectfully falls in behind the Anzac Day march. Emotions rise as the crowd claps openly in respect for the courageous group, but at the end of the parade their progress is blocked by police, demonstrating that Australia is yet to attain a maturity."

9 Jun 13: "The annual memorial for a shocking massacre of local people by white colonists in Northern New South Wales has also become a ceremony for reconciliation. Nearly 30 Aboriginal men, women and children were slaughtered by a group of convicts and stockmen at Myall Creek, back in 1883, and the impact is still being felt today. NITV News reporter Brooke Boney has the story."

11 Jun 13: "THE 175th anniversary of the Myall Creek Massacre was remembered on Sunday when both Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians gathered at the annual ceremony held at the Myall Creek Memorial. In 1838, more than 170 years ago, 28 Aboriginal Elders, women and children were murdered by white stockmen at Myall Creek. Now the descendants of both the Aboriginal people and the perpetrators of the crime have erected a monument at Myall Creek, and a commemoration ceremony is held there every June long weekend."
