Ms Graham’s call for a Commonwealth led national discussion follows Foreign Affairs Minister Bob Carr’s public comments disparaging the Sovereignty movement. ... 25 Mar 13: "It was the Human Rights Alliance (HRA) in April last year that coordinated cluster surveys and found the Kimberley’s homelessness rates on the rise - most of the homeless are Aboriginal people. Last week, Mission Australia said that the Kimberley has the highest rate of homelessness in Western Australia. Mission Australia drew its figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) 2011 Census data. Mission Australia has now joined with The Human Rights Alliance to try and bring the Western Australian Government’s attention to the homelessness epidemic in the tourist mecca of the Kimberley region."

18 Mar 13: "The Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse has prepared a guide to assist people in preparing statements or giving information to the commission. In a letter to SNAICC, royal commission chairperson Justice Ian McLellan advised that the commission was preparing a comprehensive range of information about how it will be conducting its work. Justice McLellan wrote: "We wish to give people the opportunity to tell us what happened and the impact it has had on them. In this regard, we anticipate that (SNAICC) will wish to give support and guidance to your members to do this." ... "
