Two members of South East Forest Rescue who protested the illegal logging of a gazetted Aboriginal Place on Mumbulla Mountain, north of Bega last year, were acquitted yesterday when the case was dismissed. Anthony Whan and Scott Daines were in Bega Local Court yesterday. This follows two other cases with the same result.
SEFR Press Release 8/2/11South East Forest Rescue have joined with the North East Forest Alliance (NEFA) in requesting that the bodies who certify timber sourced from public lands in Upper North East NSW (north from near Coffs Harbour) and the south coast as coming from ecologically sustainable and legal sources, to immediately withdraw their accreditation of Forests NSW. NEFA has today released the report ‘Audit of Compliance of Forestry Operations in the Upper North East NSW Forest Agreement Region’.

Following the investigation of Forests NSW logging practices last year after the discovery of a spate of breaches including logging rainforests and destroying the habitat of threatened and endangered native animals, the Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water has confirmed that Forests NSW received two fines for polluting waters in Wandera State Forest, adjacent to the Deua River, west of Moruya on the south coast of NSW.

This woman can not correct obvious errors, has no initiative, doesn't deserve a job at McDonald's but is head of her profession. Inapropriate for her to intervene is an insult, but standard procedure, with desperate pleas from devastated parents to show some common sense. Linda Burney and her cronies are terrorising the state of NSW.
