Brief: This article explores the issues of state’s sponsored terrorism and points out the reality that all weaponry in the 21st century are lethal including those that belt around the human body. Therefore, 21st century is a century for corporation not confrontation…….
On Sunday, despite the floods, a small group gathered in Brisbane to mark the 20th anniversary of first US led attack on Iraq. We joined others around the world gathering at the same time.
We remembered all those killed in the wars Australia has supported since then, especially those killed in Iraq and Afghanistan.
I started with an overview of the wars in those countries. I mentioned Pope John Paul 11’s strong opposition to the first Gulf War, when he prophetically called it the “Seed of death”. The war helped spark a never ending spiral of violence- “war-terror-war-terror-war……..”
Peter Gray an anti-war activist should be congratulated on first verbally confronting John Howard the war criminal over his decision to send Australian troops to the illegal invasion of Iraq and then throwing his shoes at him - live on television, on the ABC's Q & A show.
He yelled "This is for the Iraqi dead" as he threw his shoes.

At 5pm EST Friday 22nd October 2010 WikiLeaks released the largest classified military leak in history. The 391,832 reports ('The Iraq War Logs'), document the war and occupation in Iraq, from 1st January 2004 to 31st December 2009 (except for the months of May 2004 and March 2009) as told by soldiers in the United States Army. Each is a 'SIGACT' or Significant Action in the war. They detail events as seen and heard by the US military troops on the ground in Iraq and are the first real glimpse into the secret history of the war that the United States government has been privy to throughout.
Since June 7th , U.S. Army Private Bradley Manning, has been in custody in Kuwait as he is investigated for releasing the footage of U.S. state terror in Iraq to Wikileaks entitled Collateral Murder . The Pentagon now apparently wants to find and question Australian Wikileaks founder Julian Asange over this and other documents Wikileaks may have. This is an outrageous attempt by the U.S.
A new video has been posted on Youtube by Wikileaks shows footage from 2007 when U.S. Helicopter crews opened fire on civilians including children in Iraq killing over a dozen people including two Reuters journalists. The callousness of the criminal U.S. occupation is revealed in the laughing soldiers as they gun down people attempting to pick up the wounded
Suprise surprise, U.S. oil giant and the European company Shell have won acess to the best oil fields in Iraq worth tens of billions of dollars. Although the Chinese have won some access to Iraqi oil fields the plum fields are going to the U.S. and its allies as the trophies of war.
