The problem with libertarianism

Libertarianism is the proposition that we are agents of free will. Libertarians promote freedom.

Particularly you will hear libertarians promote freedom of speech as a right that humans ought to enjoy. If you like, the internet is an expression of this libertarian view. We are each singularly responsible for our own views, and each of us has the right to express that view, free from persecution or censorship.

PALEA joins Global Day of Action for Qantas workers

The Philippine Airlines Employees’ Association (PALEA) picketed the Qantas office and Australian embassy in a show of solidarity for the embattled workers of the Australian flag carrier. “We extend the hand of solidarity to our brothers and sisters at Qantas who are for fighting for job security, decent pay and better working conditions. The struggles they are waging mirror the same demands that we are currently fighting for at PAL,” declared Gerry Rivera, PALEA president and vice chair of Partido ng Manggagawa.

OM loses court injunction - what next?

James Muldoon who gallantly took the City of Melbourne to court over his right to put up some small tents in a public place so that people could protest has lost his first battle. This is a big disappointment for Occupy Melbourne who were recently served with a notice not to erect tents or bring any "things" - such as trestle tables and signs - into Treasury Gardens. Muldoon had sought an interlocutory injunction against the notice but this was not granted in the Federal Court today.

Be Leaderless, Be Aware, Stay Clear, Remain Passionate

Sometimes life presents a person with a situation that has no time tested script or traditional path to follow. At times a person is presented with a situation requiring them to be their own boss, the creator of their own plan and the person in charge of writing their own script dictating what decisions they will undertake themselves. There are times when among the many that person's most important job isn't to follow this or that person, but to maintain vigilance over oneself within a specific place and what it means to them to be there.

I should call myself – REFUSENIK – the person refused fair trial and in the most blatant way having my human rights abused by Queensland legal system .

My struggle for justice became the classical case of the fight against the perfidy of the people in the legal system ( Queensland , Australia ) where all elements - police , prosecution , trial judge and the defence lawyers - cooperate to achieve the conviction in the hassle-free way and then the supervisory ( judicial ) bodies rubber stamp their achievement .
