(Coalition Against Israeli Apartheid). It targeted Jericho Cosmetics in Melbourne Central, an Israeli cosmetics company, on December 3rd

To make way for this new school the Aboriginal community is losing their gymnasium and their ceremonial grounds. Why must this new school be built on Aboriginal land-...-the only Aboriginal school in Melbourne?

Charges dismissed for Swan Island activists
Submitted by Flowerpower on Mon, 29/11/2010 - 5:23pmA Geelong Magistrate today stated that activists who had blocked the gate of the Swan Island military facility had “acted in good consciousness” and in light of this, recorded no conviction, and dismissed the charges for 8 of the 9 defendants.The 9th defendant, who was arrested the same day she faced court for a similar action, was given a one month good behavior bond.

Builders are moving in to destroy the gymnasium of Ballerrt Mooroop College, the only aboriginal school in Melbourne. The school is located in Hilton Street Glenroy and the school is being moved into two demountable clasrooms and the gymnasium slated for demolition on December 17 to create 170 car parking spaces for an $18 million development of Glenroy Special School.

Kjell Aleklett, Professor of Physics at Uppsala University in Sweden and President of the Association for the Study of Peak Oil and Gas (ASPO), believes that oil, gas and coal are reaching peak production, which is set to leave the world with a deficit of energy relative to future demand.
