In response to the ACF media release “Population boom will bust environment and quality of life” (22 September 2009):

The opinion presented is overly simplistic and inherently flawed as several of the implicit assumptions cannot be backed up by robust arguments. Exposing the nationalist agenda of this statement is in the interests of fairness in informing a free-thinking, democratic society. A nationalistic perspective on climate change is inconsistent with the inexorably global nature and scale of the manifold impacts of a modified climate.

Goodooga, 17 September 09 -- A northwest NSW Aboriginal political activist says the assault on four Indian men outside a bar in Melbourne this week is representative of the hidden racism that exists in Australia.

Michael Anderson, last survivor of the four Black Power activists who set up the Aboriginal Embassy outside Parliament House in Canberra in 1972, says politicians remaining mute on these racist attacks reflects badly on Australia as a nation.

Real Greenies don’t eat animals – and that includes dairy, fish and even organic meat. Land clearing, water use, climate change, energy use and the global food crisis are being worsened by food choices. If you want to do something for the planet and the world’s poor – just change your diet. If you don’t believe me fellow greenies then read the well researched document “Eating up the World”.
