25 Oct 13: "Six Traditional owner groups are tussling over a messy combined Native Title dispute on the far west coast of South Australia. One of the claimant groups, the Mirning peoples, are alleging that they were "railroaded by anthropologists and lawyers" into the combined claim which now "threatens to take our Country from us." Thirty-five Mirning Elders presented South Australian Attorney-General John Rau a petition calling on the State Government to intervene. According to Mirning Elder, Robbie Miller, the combined claim "disregards our traditional rights."" 24 Oct 13: "A leaked draft of the second Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report, due to be released in March, gives a sobering picture of what lies ahead for Aboriginal communities in Australia as climate change intensifies. Last month, the IPCC said it was 95% certain that human activity was the main cause of climate change. The recent leaked report did not look at the science, but rather the impacts climate change will have, particularly in areas of vulnerability and adaptation." By GLW author Emma Murphy

It appears to be untouched from the outside world and it is hoped new measures will ensure it stays this way for many years to come.
