10 Feb 15: "Yesterday, the First Nations Freedom Movement held its first parliamentary sit-in in Canberra, where a group of delegates entered Parliament House to deliver and discuss the Aboriginal Sovereign Manifesto of Demands to Indigenous Affairs Minister Nigel Scullion. The protests were met with dozens of police and were wilfully ignored by national media who were broadcasting live from the protest site with coverage of the Liberal leadership spill. However, Clive Palmer hijacked his live cross with Channel 10 to discuss Aboriginal issues. Later, Nigel Scullion came down to the Aboriginal tent embassy ... "

10 Feb 15: "On the day that the Prime Ministerial leadership squabble went to a spill motion, two hundred supporters of the Freedom Movement struggle marched from Aboriginal Tent Embassy to Federal Parliament. They were met by a huge police cordon blocking entry to the forecourt of Parliament. They stopped right in front of the cordon and right next to the huge media cartel which was consumed with the leadership squabble. The protesters hoisted scores of flags and banners, and commenced a sit-in. ... 10 Feb 15: "After receiving the Aboriginal Sovereign Manifesto of Demands from a group of delegates in Parliament House yesterday, and protests out the front which gained international media coverage, Minister for Indigenous Affairs Nigel Scullion visited the Aboriginal Tent Embassy to continue discussion about sovereignty. Mr Scullion is the first Minister to visit the embassy in 15 years."
