IndigenousX: Constitutional Recognition Survey
-Data Analysis by Celeste Liddle and Survey Conducted by IndigenousX
http://indigenousx.com.au/constitutional-recognition-survey/
" ... IndigenousX decided to release their own survey to the community on the topic of Constitutional Recognition. IndigenousX is uniquely positioned in Social Media as one of few Indigenous owned and operated online spaces that actively engages with many sides of the political spectrum, whether they are seen as ‘mainstream’ or not. In the 1.5 weeks this survey has been available for responses, 827 community members have responded. This survey was distributed online, via social media channels, and was shared widely. The results it has reaped have been telling. We will investigate the question responses one by one in the interest of transparency. ... "

Sovereign Union: Decolonisation: to be or not to be included in the Constitution?
http://www.sovereignunion.mobi/content/decolonisation-be-or-not-be-inclu...
15 Jun 15: "Ghillar, Michael Anderson, Convenor of the Sovereign Union, co-founder of the Aboriginal Embassy and Head of State of the Euahlayi Peoples Republic has released this Discussion Paper today from Beijing, China, on route to Geneva, where he will attend the 1979 and 1981 UN First Delegates Symposium, with topics including 'Decolonisation' and 'Permanent Sovereignty over Natural Resources'.
This discussion paper Decolonisation: To be or not to be included in the Constitution puts in perspective the issue of where we choose to place ourselves as First Nations and Peoples within or outside the Australian Constitution.
When the Sovereign Union argues that we have never ceded nor acquiesced our pre-existing and inherent sovereign rights, we find that the Recognise campaign is promoting acquiescence and consenting to be ruled by the colonising power from Britain, the Crown. This will be the case if there is no statement in writing to the contrary of clear and plain intent in the proposed wording of the referendum. It is imperative that our people understand the implications of the language in any referendum in order to understand how our people are being coerced into being part of a Constitutional amendment that takes away our current independence. As yet the expensive Recognise campaign is a lot of hot air trying to gather support without any concrete wording and, as always, the devil will be in the detail. ... "

Sovereign Union: For the record: Sovereignty Never Ceded
http://www.sovereignunion.mobi/content/sovereignty-never-ceded
9 Apr 15: "Ghillar, Michael Anderson, Convenor of the Sovereign Union, Head of State of the Euahlayi Republic and co-founder of the 1972 Aboriginal Embassy said from his home near Goodooga today:
Given that sovereignty and what it stands for will be the flavour of the decade, it is only proper for me to retrace a timeline for our people to see how the issue of sovereignty has evolved to this day.
We can say that Aboriginal people throwing spears at the first white man was an act of sovereign Peoples in defense of their lands, territories and dominions. If we are to examine the political legal action by the people and their spear throwing, it was a military exercise authorised by their law and customs which, in total, represented an Act of State on behalf of the People. They were exercising their sovereign right to defend what was theirs. ...
The invasion of Australia by the British was in fact contrary to both the Magna Carta and the 1689 Bill of Rights, both of which still stand in law today in Britain and Australia. It should be said that the Magna Carta precluded the right of the British crown to exercise tyranny and genocide on nay people, nor was the King (or Queen) permitted to de-seize the freeman of his land and possessions. ... Anderson: Finding solidarity in the core of the resistance to 'recognition' in the racist constitution.
http://www.sovereignunion.mobi/content/anderson-finding-solidarity-core-...
29 Jan 15: "Ghillar Michael Anderson, Convenor and Joint Spokesperson of the Sovereign Union and Head of State of the Euahlayi Peoples Republic said from Orange today: ...
Then let us decide amongst ourselves, by way of a co-ordinated referendum or plebiscite, so that we can decide our fate ourselves.
The mainstream population of Australia is being conned yet again, conned into believing that we want something that we truly don't know the content and possible consequences of:
a) what will be the wording of this referendum?
b) what rights will it establish, if any?
c) will it make us Australian citizens, without naturalisation papers?
d) will it force State, territories and Commonwealth governments to change all laws relating to Aborigines and Torres Strait Islanders?
e) what effect will it have on Native Title Rights?
f) What effect will it have on all the Land Councils throughout Australia?
g) Will it mean that quasi-government organisations, such as the NSW Aboriginal Housing Office will be dismantled and incorporated into the mainstream housing sector?
h) will it mean all Aboriginal cultural heritage legislation and our heritage is owned by the Crown and not us?
i) will it mean that all languages and other educational instruments of our Aboriginality will be abandoned? The list goes on.
It is my assertion to all concerned that this is the intent of genocide in its rawest form. We will be finished as a distinct race of people, approved of by the selected few chosen Aboriginal people. This is wrong. This is wrong and absolutely unjust!. ... "

13 Jun 15: "Michael Mansell is one of Australia’s most famed Aboriginal activists. And he has a plan for a self-determining future. Since the United Nations was set up in 1945, 750 million people in 80 new countries have become free to rule themselves. Neither Aborigines nor Torres Strait Islanders count among them. ... From the early days of the National Aboriginal Consultative Committee (NACC) in 1974 through the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission (ATSIC) in the 1990’s to the National Congress of Australia’s First Peoples ... today, Aboriginal people have never had real power. About the Aboriginal Provisional Government

"The Aboriginal Provisional Government (APG) was formed on the 16th of July 1990. Rejecting assimilation into the Australian state, the APG maintains that we as Aboriginal people have the right to decide the future of our lands and lives to the exclusion of colonial interference. We ran this country once, and our sovereignty as Aboriginal people is the authority we hold to run our country again. ... Reflecting the traditions and beliefs of Aboriginal groups nationwide, the APG was initially established with a governing Council of Elders."
