My name is Michael Budinski.
I am currently planning a documentary that explores Dumpster Diving in Melbourne.
I am seeking experienced Dumpster Divers who would be happy to let me follow them along on a series of 'dives', in addition to discussing why they dive and general Freegan philosophy.
Other than a general lack of awareness, there seems to be a lot of confusion among the general public as to why people choose to dive.
I've been searching for contacts for a few weeks now without luck and would appreciate any help! Including anyone who can put me in touch with any divers you may know.
My email address is mdbudinski@gmail.com
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hey Micheal,
I moved to Melbourne from Brissy and used to dumpster up there. I know dumpster diver's & good 'dives' there..but not really here..
You could email Turnstyle in Brissy as 'alternative' people are always passing through from around aus & the world & they could possibly put the word out!

Also you could try the food not bombs communities, if you haven't already
all the best!!
You cant dumpster dive anymore
You cant dumpster dive anymore, the supermarkets lock all of the dumpsters for a long time now.
^ Yes you can! ^
Not true, Anonymous - it totally depends where you go. I currently have enough food to eat for 2-3 weeks from just 2 nights of recent dumpstering, all unlocked bins in the Northern suburbs. Besides, there are numerous copies of Coles master dumpster keys floating around the city, pretty easy to get your hands on if you ask around.
