"Bark paintings from the Australian National Maritime Museum's
Saltwater Collection highlight the efforts of Yolŋu people
to share their connections to saltwater country with
non-Indigenous people. ...
Five of the 10 bark paintings on display were presented as
evidence of Yolŋu connections to saltwater country in a
2008 High Court case. The court verdict gave precedence to
Indigenous rights and use of the Arnhem Land coastline and

acknowledgement of Dr Perkins’ tireless dedication to
human rights and social justice for Indigenous Australians."

the Tribal Warrior Association, his career included roles
working with young people in child protection, juvenile justice
