My Country, I Still Call Australia Home:
Contemporary Art from Black Australia
"This exhibition will be the Gallery's largest ever exhibition
of contemporary Indigenous Australian art. It will feature
works by Indigenous Australian artists from across the country."
"'My Country. I Still Call Australia Home' examines the
associations and interpretations Aboriginal and Torres Strait
Islander artists have with country (land) and country (nation).
Indigenous artists have long been an important voice for their
communities and have been instrumental in telling Aboriginal
and Torres Strait Islander stories - from presenting alternative
views of history, to asserting their presence over country, both
urban and regional, responding to contemporary politics and
highlighting contemporary Indigenous experiences in Australia."

2013 National Indigenous Health Conference:
Many Pathways, One Outcome
"The 2013 National Indigenous Health Conference is
designed to bring together both government and
non-government agencies who are working in the
field of Indigenous health with the belief that working

Indigenous Health as compared to the health of
mainstream Australians."
"The conference philosophy is based upon the principles
of sharing knowledge and information that can be adapted
and implemented in other communities within Australia. ...
this event is also based on the principle that Aboriginal
health needs to be seen and catered for in a holistic way."
"Indigenous Health Conference is convened as a private

The Ration Shed Museum
"When our Elders were moved off the land and taken to
Cherbourg they were cut off from their traditional sources
of food and were given weekly rations of mainly flour,
sugar, tea, sago, rice, split peas and meat. The rations
were given from a wooden shed which we have restored
and call The Ration Shed Museum. We use the Ration
Shed as a space to tell our stories."
