Government robbery – now called a carbon tax
This short piece of the Adelaide road shows about 30 lamps fully on in a mid day. Those lamps at that spot are on very often whole day. Sometimes only they are off.
Typically such lamps have 100-400W each. So one may argue that it is only 6kW of power assuming a 200W per lamp. It is not much comparing to a total power consumed by Adelaide and to total wasted power. Is it only a 6kW?
Mary Jo Fisher senator lately was charged for stealing about $92 worth grocery and pending another one for $60 as well as for an assault. Her total legal cost are about $200 000 for stealing only $92. But the total cost is beyond any reason. Leave alone what it has to do with justice, it is a clear example of insanity and disorder. Another question what mentally ill politicians do in parliament?
Same is with the street lamps. The total cost is much higher than just a 6kW worth electricity. It is just one stretch of the road. We have very many such roads in Adelaide and since the carbon tax robbery was introduced, there are more not less of such lamps.
There is no one responsible in Parliament to stop this waste and to prevent. We are instead, are being penalised for their waste and their insane governance.
At night Adelaide is one of the darker cities.
The street lamps turned on 24/7 are only a small example of general government irresponsibility, general waste and corruption.

Wake up Australia
Just proves it is a money grab con!The politicians know the carbon tax is a con and Global Warming is the con to collect more money.
Re: Robbery - carbon tax
Just applying new taxes won’t have any impact on global worming or climate change. There are so many small things that we can do to protect our environment and this is a very simple example for that. This issue is not valid for Adelaide only, this waste of power happens in everywhere.
