Sovereign Union: Lest We Forget the Frontier Wars - Anzac Day 25th April 2012
http://nationalunitygovernment.org/content/lest-we-forget-frontier-wars-...
5 Apr 12: "Michael Anderson said today: "Last year we started Lest We Forget the Frontier Wars by joining on behind the Anzac Day march in Canberra and we received enormous support from the public at this time. Now we need to keep it going.
We have commenced a process to highlight the wars fought on Australian soil since 1788, when our country was taken by superior force, at gunpoint, and those who stood in the way were shot.
What we need to do now is to keep identifying that there has been warfare; that blood has been spilt on the wattle; and there is an ongoing war of attrition against Aboriginal Peoples to this day.""

"On Anzac Eve a vigil for peace, carrying paper lanterns, descends Mt Ainslie on which the Australian War Memorial stands in Canberra. The following day, ANZAC Day 2011, Michael Anderson negotiates with police to permit the inaugral march remembering Aboriginal Nations and Peoples who defended Country against the invading forces from Europe. Lead by Mick Thorpe and bearing signs respecting wars of resistance and massacres a diverse group respectfully falls in behind the Anzac Day march. Emotions rise as the crowd claps openly in respect for the courageous group, but at the end of the parade their progress is blocked by police, demonstrating that Australia is yet to attain a maturity."

Sovereign Union: Goomeroi Sovereignty at the Moree Tent Embassy

12 Apr 12: "As you know Aboriginal people continue to be disadvantaged by this introduced system of 'legal' controls, such as institutional police racism, cruel bans on with walking country, practices law and language, colonial policing, servant class employment scope and land ownership barriers.
The Moree Goomeroi Tent Embassy has been setup in response to community demand for a real change - right here - right now.
Our starting point is the unbroken and unbeaten Sovereignty of the Goomeroi people. We know our ancestors are all around us within our country, as truly as we feel the land that's under our feet.
We continue to defend and advance the human rights and social equalities won by earlier Aboriginal Human Rights defenders such as Billy Craigge (Moree), Michael Anderson (Goodooga), Arthur Murray (Wee Waa), Lyall Munroe Snr (Moree), and Madelaine McGrady (Toomelah). ...

http://tracker.org.au/2011/04/qa-making-sense-out-of-constitutional-reform/
7 Apr 12: "Why change the constitution?
At the time the Australian Constitution was drafted, Aboriginal people were considered to be an inferior and dying race by many Australians. They were not included in the process of drafting the Constitution and it was assumed that they had no rights. It is not surprising that changing the Constitution has been part of the political agenda of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people." Larissa Behrendt

http://news.ninemsn.com.au/national/8449198/wa-day-fails-to-resolve-nati...
10 Apr 12: "Western Australia has changed the name of its annual state holiday in a nod towards Aboriginal reconciliation, despite several native title disputes remaining unresolved. From now on the first Monday in June - formerly called Foundation Day - will be known as Western Australia Day. WA Governor Malcolm McCusker signed a bill to effect the change at Government House on Tuesday as Premier Colin Barnett watched on. Both said while the day still commemorated the first English settlers' arrival in 1829, the bill formally recognised Aboriginal people as the traditional owners."
