Via Car: The Abbotsford Convent is located at the end of St. Heliers St, Abbotsford. The easiest way to get here is to go via Johnston St then onto Clarke St then into St Heliers St (See MELWAYS Ref 44 G5).
Via Train: Victoria Park station on the Epping and Hurstbridge lines is the closest railway station to the Abbotsford Convent.
The festivities on the day will feature an array of live music, vegan food and information stalls, cooking demonstrations and raffles, as well as speed-dating sessions and talks from notable speakers such as Paul Crossley and Bruce Poon.
The worldwide event celebrates the growing awareness of more ethically, environmentally and health-conscious lifestyle choices.
"World Vegan Day is an opportunity for people to learn about a diet and lifestyle that is the most ethical, environmentally-conscious and healthy", said Mr. Doneddu. Melbourne's celebrations will coincide with similar events held worldwide.
