Vietnam 1965 - 1975: posters from the Australian anti-Vietnam war campaign

80 posters from the anti-war movement and the Vietnamese revolution plus badges, pamphlets, books and magazines

2010 is an important anniversary year for many events in Vietnam's history, including the 35th anniversary of the final liberation and reunification of the country and the 65th anniversary of Vietnamese independence. For us in Australia it's the 45th anniversary of the first demonstrations against the war in Vietnam, and the 40th anniversary of the big Moratorium demonstrations. To commemorate these important historical events a poster exhibition and seminar on the anti-Vietnam war movement in Australia is being held in Sydney, Perth, Brisbane and Melbourne.

Speakers include:
Van Rudd, nephew of Kevin and socialist candiate for the federal seat of Lalor
John Percy, activist in the Sydney Vietnam Action Campaign and founding member of the socialist youth organisation, Resistance
Sponsored by New International Bookshop & Direct Action
