A public forum by Iran Solidarity Melbourne.Featuring, Mehdi Aslani the author of Kalagh va Gole Sokh (The Crow and the Rose), an internationally known Iranian author, activist and survivor of Iran's massacres of political prisoners in the notorious Evin Prison in 1988. More people were killed in the Iranian massacres of political prisoners in 1988, than in the Srebrenica genocide. Despite this human rights activists, the world over have largely ignored this despicable crime against humanity and many people remain ignorant of this dark chapter in Iranian history. This is an unique opportunity to come face to face with the people who witnessed these crimes first hand and came close to becoming one of the victims themselves. Many of these people who have lived among us in our communities, for the last 20 years, have never spoken publicly about their ordeals until now.
