Stand up and be counted as the Hills community come together to show McDonald's that they are NOT welcome in Tecoma!
March/Rally starts in Belgrave (carpark between Cameo and La Collina Pizzeria) at 12pm on Saturday the 2nd of March, and will move down Burwood Hwy to Tecoma Primary School where there will be Local Musicians, Speakers, Kid's Activities, BBQ and much more.
We've sent them countless letters and emails, we've been in every newspaper, radio station and television news program imaginable. We built a garden, we've sung them Christmas Carols, even the Gnomes of Tecoma are now having their say. An overwhelming 9 out of 10 of Tecoma residents recently surveyed have given their names, addresses and signatures stating that they are opposed to the proposed development. News of this campaign has quickly spread nationally, and is now gaining international interest. Yet the McDonald's corporation continues to ignore us, and still insists on steamrolling into our community.
Bring your placards, passion and fighting spirit and let's show McDonald's, once and for all, that we will not be ignored and that they are unanimously unwelcome in these Hills.
