Snap Protest for Refugee Rights

The Independents have announced that they will support a minority Labor government. Under Rudd and Gillard, Labor have proved to be just as committed to demonising refugees and taking away their basic human rights by locking them behind razor wire in far flung islands and in the desert like Curtin where an Afghan man died weeks ago.

Gillard has also said she will commit to offshore processing.

Tomorrow's snap action will be outside the GPO instead of the previously mentioned Labor Party office to be close to passers-by and workers on their lunch breaks. We need to send a message that we will not rest under a Gillard government until all refugees are out of detention and processed in the community.
