Thanks for the TJ turnout

Dear friends and comrades,
As a member of the group involved in the organization of the Nine anniversary of the Death of TJ, I would like to express my deeply thanks to all that made everything possible to have a very successful action. The responsible of the propaganda, these whom stack thousands of posters all around Sydney, gave away thousands of leaflets and collected almost two thousand signatures. Also I would like to thank these that copied our leaflets, posters and petitions, without your help we couldn’t have such extended reach (particularly due to limited resources). To these that participated in the rally, I would say, I am not sure if a saw in my life such uncompromising mob, such lively participation, always with their voices strong and clear, naming the responsible of the TJ”S death, demanding justice and committing themselves to keep the fight. The other element s of the rally, great bunch of speakers, good technical support, the effort to spread the message, (more than 750 leaflets given along the route of the rally, pity the last was given in Hyde Park, we could distribute another 500 more) and the public response. The results of the rally still are unknown, but at least we had initial victories. Beside some minor changes we had the march done as we proposed, route, vehicles, stops, street walk, etc. The fact that we had the opportunity to present the petitions to the head of the attorney general department, when we were told that none would be there to see us was another clear victory of the march. I don’t like to mention individuals and there are individuals that don’t want to be mentioned. However there some people that I can’t ignore. First and foremost, Gail, and together with her, her family, (Her message to the attorney general was loud and clear “do something because I will be back, and if I couldn’t my will do it”), the Aboriginal people present, particularly the elders but what impressive bunch of young fighters came, community an social organizations, political organizations (you know they are), independent activists and finally he members of Indigenous Social Justice Association (iSJA) these lately connected to us.
So, thank you very much, but remember the struggle has not ended. We will keep you informed of any developments but particularly, be ready to get out time and time again because we can’t trust these people not now, no yesterday no tomorrow. We will review what happened and talk about the next steps in our next meeting at the Redfern Community Centre, Hugo st. at 7.00 on 28th of February. I hope I see you there.
In solidarity,
Raul Bassi (ISJA) 0403037376

Dear READER, In a forthcoming (2013) book titled MASS MURDER: Official Killing in Tasmania, Australia*, details related to TJ Hickey are included - an article by Raul Bassi - as an example of official killing in Australia which dates back to the European invasion. If you would like details please email me. Sincerely, KEITH ALLAN NOBLE; MURDER.RESEARCH@gmail.com *This book exposes the killing of 35 people (and 23 wounded) and the cover-up by the State in Tasmania - the Port Arthur massacre in 1996. The innocent Martin Bryant is now being tortured to death in Risdon Prison at Hobart for that official killing.
