I see reporter Robyn Ironside of the Courier Mail has already framed the story on the death in custody of 18 year old Sheldon Currie on Feb 20. She states that the acute liver disorder which medical staff at the gaol only treated with panadol on the 2 occasions that they treated him prior to his death, was "allegedly as a result of years of substance abuse."

I wonder who alleged that to Ironside. Was it the medical staff, the guards, the police, the doctors or nurses at Princess Alexandria Hospital where he died four days after admittance.

She does not attribute this information to anyone and yet is prepared to virtually blame the youth for his own death.

A number of of journalists and judicial officers seem to consistently support the police side of these tragedies, otherwise these obviously ridiculous outcomes favouring the police could not occur.

I often wonder if there are judicial officers who are blackmailed by police.

It seems a possible cause for the nonsensical way these death in custody cases are conducted.
