For decades we have been told that women have achieved equality and feminism is not needed any more. This has been exposed as a big lie. Sexism, from wage inequality to gendered violence, such as sexual harassment on the job and rape, are common in society. Women have started to organise again. The successful Reclaim the Night Sydney Road March of 5000 - 7000 people is an example of what some believe might be the '3rd wave of feminism'. Speakers will be discussing the reasons for gender violence and ideas on how to fight sexism.
