The fast-approaching 2012 National Indigenous Health Conference: Many Pathways, One Outcome, designed to bring together government and non-government agencies working in the field of Indigenous health, announces two great additions to its more than seventy percent grassroots community programs in the conference agenda. International speakers from the
First Nations Aboriginal People of Canada & Maori guest speakers from New Zealand are invited to share their successful programs during the conference scheduled on the 5th- 7th of December 2012 at Watermark Hotel in the Gold Coast.
As the conference has been centred around the sharing of information, increasing network and access to programs, what a great opportunity it will be to have these four great international speakers from other Indigenous cultures freely sharing their ideas, experiences and programs at the event. This is not to say these programs would be ideal for your service nor your community but it will provide yourself and your organization the opportunity to broaden the scope of your boundaries within your service delivery.
Furthermore during the course of selecting the papers, it has become evident that programs and presentations are develop from the heart and in several cases drawn from the speaker's own personal battles and experiences in living with indigenous health issues as well as overcoming diversity in life, in general. Below is the list of additional guest speakers coming from all walks of life, both non-Indigenous and Indigenous Health Professionals as well as grassroots community members whose willing and happy to share their journey in tackling Indigenous Health issues:
