Also screening on the night will be two films on the plight of asylum seekers:
Australian award winning short film Azadi which, against the factual backdrop of the 2002 Woomera Detention protests, chronicles the plight of an Afghan father trying to protect his son amidst the chaos; and
Kamambo (Butterfly), a drama about a 10-year-old West Papuan asylum seeker who is haunted by violent memories of her homeland after fleeing to Australia.
The fifth film is award winning documentary animation Slaves, which tells the story of two young children who were taken by government sponsored militia in Sudan and used as slaves.
We'd love for you to join us - these films are sure to inspire and invigorate your passion for human rights.
Hope to see you there!
