On the 4th of May, Amnesty International will hold two stalls in the Melbourne CBD to celebrate Candle Day.
Candle Day is our major awareness raising day in Victoria and this year, Candle Day will focus on the Arms Trade Treaty campaign. We need your support to encourage governments around the world to commit to a global Arms Trade Treaty when UN member states meet for discussions in July this year.
So come along to the State Library of Victoria or the Bourke Street Mall to chat to our friendly volunteers, learn more about Amnesty International's work and sign a petition for a global trade agreement on the transfer of weapons.
Activists all over Victoria will also be holding stalls in shopping centres, railway stations and on the street from the 4th to the 6th of May. See the Amnesty International Victoria events website for events in your area.
We hope to see you there
