Call for help from Indonesia: Save our coral gardens!

Its life is at stake: the dugong.

Dear friends of the rainforest,

on Bangka, a small island in northern Sulawesi (Indonesia), the district manager has greenlit an iron ore mine. The mining project would devastate the entire island and destroy all life in the coral gardens. The islands belong to one of the most species-rich marine regions on Earth: the Coral Triangle in the Pacific Ocean.

With his arbitrary decision, the district manager violates Indonesian law as well as the international agreement to protect the Coral Triangle.

Please sign the residents’ letter of protest addressed to the Minister for Energy and Mineral Resources in Jakarta.

Take Action

If you would like to support the anti-mining campaign of our partners JATAM in Sulawesi – your donation would be very much appreciated.
Thank you.
