Belgrave Survival Day proudly presents a showing of “Murundak –songs of Freedom” on Tuesday November 13th at Burrinja Cultural Center in Upwey at 6.30 PM. Light refreshments and non-alcoholic drinks will be available.
Murundak - songs of freedom' Winner of the UN Media Peace Award for promotion of Aboriginal Reconciliation, and also, on the Best Documentary (General) at the ATOM Awards. Murundak journeys into the heart of Aboriginal protest music following The Black Arm Band, a gathering of some of Australia’s finest Indigenous musicians, as they take to the road with their songs of resistance and freedom.
Not only is this a chance to see a great movie but all profits. will go towards the staging of the 2012 Belgrave Survival Day event which will feature the Yung Warriors and Lou Bennett amongst others.
