Recent weeks have seen a major offensive by Qantas CEO Alan Joyce against his workforce.Only 3 days after he announced a 71% pay increase FOR HIMSELF (amounting to 5 million a year) Joyce locked out Qantas pilots, baggage handlers, maintenance engineers.
All Qantas fleets were grounded as Australia's airspace was held to ransom by this corporate scumbag in his attempt to undermine the various union's pay claims. In a cynical anti- union move, the Gillard government's Fair Work Australia ordered an end to all industrial action and in doing so quashed worker's right to strike - their capacity to refuse to work for unsatisfactory wages and conditions. Put simply Fair Work has intervened on the side of Qantas.
Join us in this protest against one of the most blatant moves by the 1% against the 99% in Australia for over a decade!
We will be marching on Fair Work Australia and flying paper planes at their offices...
