Food Not Bombs Presents...
Not Another Fund Raiser!
Sunday the 18th October at 6 p.m. Irene Warehouse, 5 Pitt St, Brunswick
One of our Food Not Bombers has written a short play called White fella Dreaming. Set in a small Western Australian country town, it looks at black/white relations and the differing ways in which both groups view post- colonial history. Despite touching heavily on the issue of genocide, White fella Dreaming has some light hearted moments. Read by three talented actors, it will follow spoken- word and comedy from other new Melbourne writers.
The show will start at 8 pm sharp, so come in plenty of time to enjoy a Food Not Bombs feast beforehand while listening to Rose Turtle Ertler perform with her ukulele from 6 p.m. Rose has recently released her world class, fourth solo cd All For One From Now Till Dawn, for sale on the night, with part proceeds to Food Not Bombs.
We are almost half way towards our goal of raising funds to purchase a new van so we can continue running our street kitchens and feeding the activist community in Melbourne. Help us reach our target of $6000 plus, and support new writers by coming to: NOT ANOTHER FUND RAISER!
