This screening is a fundraiser for eco-prisoners facing huge sentences for standing up for the earth. There is an increasing number of environmental activists in the U.S. being sentenced to up to 20 years for striking blows to environmentally destructive big business, while hurting no one physically. Laws are being changed to turn activism into terrorism, and people are serving more time than murderers for damaging property. After the screening there will be a very brief talk about this trend in the U.S. and other countries, which is being called the ‘green scare’, and what it means for active people in Australia.

Entry $10.
