BOYCOTTS, REPRESSION AND THE STRUGGLE FOR PALESTINE

This forum will deal with many of the issues in the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions campaign in Australia, including the controversy surrounding the NSW Marrickville council as well as the recent police attacks on activists in Victoria during the Max Brenner.We will also discuss what we can do here in Australia to support Palestinian rights.
The forum is the night before the next significant BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) demonstration against Max Brenner in Melbourne. The forum will feature
SYLVIA HALE: Former Greens MLC and prominent pro-Palestine campaigner from NSW. Sylvia was involved in the 2011 flotilla to break the siege of Gaza.
VIVIENNE PORZSOLT: Spokesperson for Jews against the Occupation Sydney and recently took part in the Gaza Freedom Flotilla 2 – Stay Human and the Welcome to Palestine Campaign (`Flytilla')."
CATHY PETERS: One of the Greens Councilors on the controversial Marrickville Council who argued for the boycott of Israeli goods.
VASHTI KENWAY: Leading member of Students for Palestine, one of the arrestees and charged $10, 000 bail by the courts for speaking out for Palestine.
Then on Friday 9th September (the day afterwards) at 5:30pm at the State Library there will be a demonstration
