On May 28th, Melbourne saw its protest as part of the global "slutwalk" movement against the blaming of women for sexual assualts. This is a statement from organisers on what they felt of the day. "It was a magnificent day - more than we could have possibly hoped for. After having only announced the date of SlutWalk Melbourne three weeks prior, the response from the public, the media and importantly, survivors of assault and rape was overwhelming. Around 2500 people gathered on the steps of the Victorian State Library and then marched proudly through the city streets, with inspiring placards and banners and much chanting and joyous celebration of who we all are."

Re: Slutwalk Melbourne 28th May 2011
I went to the slut walk and was disappointed with the way people dressed I was expecting tits hanging out and hot shielas all that was there was ugly lesbian types who would want to rape those ugly trollops ?It's always the way it's the ugly ones who make out they are at risk but in reality the would have to pay a bloke to rape them.
