People again gathered in Melbourne to show their support for Wikileaks. The rally commenced at the Melbourne State Library with a variety of speakers including Adam Bandt (Greens Federal MP), Rob Stary( Assange's Lawyer in Australia) and Brian Boyd (Secretary Victorian Trades Hall).

A march with police escort was conducted down Swanston Street and into Collins street concluding at the British Consulate where a line of police protected the entrance.
There were many onlookers straying away from their shopping and cafes to see the 100+ supporters of the “Hands off Wikileaks” and “Free Bradley Manning” Rally. At the British Consulate in Collins Street there were many supporters conveying their message with banners and chants “Free Julian Assange”.
The turn out on such a warm day suggests the strong commitment to a Free Media amongst the community today.
