Wollongong's satirical 'Billionaires for Coal' group will rally at 9am on Wednesday morning outside the Forbes Global CEO Conference. The conference is taking place over September 28-29 at the Four Seasons Hotel, 199 George Street in Sydney. The Billionaires appearance will coincide with the 'Corporate Pirates' rally ( for info visit http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=111294695596561)

Hosted by the NSW and Australian governme...nts, the conference will be attended by 'over 400 global CEOs, tycoons, entrepreneurs, up-and-comers, capitalists and thought leaders', according to the official website. Conference speakers include Australia's richest man, Andrew 'Twiggy' Forrest (worth $US4.1 billion) and the world's richest man, Carlos Slim (telecommunications billionaire from Mexico worth US$53.5 billion).

According to Billionaires for Coal representative, Paul Uder: 'We are looking forward to catching up with Twiggy, Carlos, Steve (Forbes) and the others to discuss the urgent questions facing us as a tiny, filthy rich minority. How can we best use the crisis facing humanity to squeeze more profit out of the people for those of us who really deserve it? After all, who are these 99.9% and why do they matter?

'Times are tough; it's survival of the richest out there. We can't let the impending climate disaster distract us from the main game. I mean, how many species do you really need? We all know wealth is health, and the wealth gap just isn't big enough. The Forbes gathering is about making sure we leave no billionaire behind.

'Twiggy should receive an achievement award for his role in thwarting Rudd's mining tax. At least our Julia seems to understand that taxes aren't for everyone. Where was Twiggy supposed to come up with that money anyway? He might lose his spot on the Forbes rich list for god's sake!

'People out there sometimes think we don't care about them. But we certainly do: we'd like to sincerely thank the people for paying our fair share.

'We welcome the Forbes 400. We salute you and your persistent efforts to put our profits ahead of everyone and everything, including this qaint little planet. We've already pledged to buy another planet should this one fail, and will continue to provide the fuel - black gold - for your global economic, 'master mariner', corporate pirate ambitions. HUZZAH!!!

JOIN THE BILLIONAIRES AND CORPORATE PIRATES THIS WEDNESDAY, September 29, 9am outside the Four Seasons Hotel, 199 George Street, Sydney. Because 'our profits are worth more than your planet'!
