Thousands of people around Australia came out on Palm Sunday, and Melbourne saw one of the biggest gatherings in support of refugee rights in a decade.
Building on the momentum of the Walk for Justice on Palm Sunday, we are planning a World Refugee Day March on Sunday 22nd June, 1:30pm at the City Square.
Amongst other things, this gathering will call for the closure of the detention centres on Manus Island and Nauru; fair and timely processing of all claims for asylum and justice for Reza Berati!
Anna Burke MP and Adam Bandt are confirmed speakers for the March - so plan to come out and show your support for asylum seekers at the World Refugee Day March.
