Vigil outside the Latrobe electoral offices of Liberal MP Jason Wood this Thursday, 27th February at 12pm. We will be holding a memorial for murdered asylum seeker 23 year old Reza Berati. Please feel free to bring flowers.
We are demanding the closure of Manus Island and Nauru and the end of offshore detention.
We demand the end of the demonisation of asylum seekers by both major political parties.
We demand answers, honesty and accountability from our government.
We demand the immediate resignation of Immigration Minister Scott Morrison.
We demand a just, fair and humane treatment of people seeking asylum.

Protest at Jason Wood's office
We live in Emerald and are strongly opposed to this government's asylum seeker policy. We would appreciate contact with any individual or groups in our area who feel the same, including whoever organised the protest last year at Jason Wood's office demanding the closure of Manus Island and Nauru detention centres.
