Hello!
The Huon Valley Environment Centre will be running the composting toilets at this year's Falls Festival in Marion Bay, and we're looking for volunteers!
Volunteers will be required to work four 4-hour shifts and be onsite in Marion Bay (South-eastern Tasmania) between midday 28th December 2013 and 2nd January 2014 (believe it). The task involves maintaining the excellent onsite composting toilets, which will eventually produce a caravan-sized mound of humanure compost! Don't worry - you won't be handling the poo, just refilling toilet paper and making sure the loos are ready to go.
In return, you'll get a ticket to one of Tasmania's biggest festivals, a Falls 2013 t-shirt, Loo Crew showbag, premium onsite camping with an exclusive chill-space, electricity and access to the only onsite hot showers, hot meals throughout the festival, as well as an invite to the staff-only festival afterparty, with surprise performances from festival celebs and guests.
In addition, you'll be helping fundraise for grassroots environmental advocacy in southern Tasmania - the Huon Valley Environment Centre, defending Tasmania's old-growth forests and biodiversity since 2000!
