Large-scale grid connection of wind power the main theme at world conference

More than 150 presentations from all over the world on the large-scale integration of wind power will be made at the 9th World Wind Energy Conference & Exhibition (WWEC2010) in Istanbul, Turkey, from 15-17 June.

WWEC2010 will comprise 30 sessions with more than 150 speeches and presentations covering all important topics of wind energy utilisations.

Plenary sessions will include a CEO forum and a session on all renewables. High-level speakers will represent various governments and international organisations such as InWEnt, IRENA and UNESCO.

A special conference track is dedicated to the main conference theme, large-scale integration of wind power.

Leading experts from around the world will present latest achievements, best practices and new and innovative solutions on how to integrate wind power into electricity grids on a large scale.

Workshops will be held on community power, on the way towards a global feed-in tariff programme, on the role of capacity building and on grid integration challenges and solutions in Turkey, Germany and China.
