Peace advocates face the US-Australian war machine at Talisman Saber 2013

Stop the war rehearsals!

Talisman Saber 2013 will take place from July 15 – August 5 and will see 23,000 US and AUS troops converging on Qld, NT, the Coral Sea, Timor and Arafura Seas – to take part is some of world’s largest military exercises.

Shoalwater Bay, just north of Rockhampton in Central Qld, is the major site of combined land, sea and air training. There, on shore landings, bombing practice and urban warfare training all take place within Ramsar listed wetlands and sections of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park – for the purpose of increasing “inter-operability” of US and Australian forces- and further entrenching Australia in the US war machine.

It is time to say no to the era of never-ending war!

Join us for a series of nonviolent actions and events throughout the war games… come up to Rockhampton or take action in your own region.

More information about the war games and details of planned events will be posted on our Facebook page. You are welcome to post your ideas or plans here as well.

Together we can: Close the Bases, Stop the Exercises, End the Wars!
